A friend and a guardian by kessir A friend and a guardian by kessir
A gift art for :iconchibi-twich: for beeing such a loyal fan, who was main reason i actually recieved my first and yet only DD, who has drawn me my first Fanart in years, who has given me so many lovely and helpfull critics and is quite an inspiration to me (i really mean it!).

Her Character Emelin and her Pet/Friend/Guardian Airo.
I probably put both characters completely OUT of character, as Emelin actually appears to be more of the tranquil and dreamy kind, while being very beautiful (to me) and has increadible lovely blue eyes. I made her appear more challanging and daring on this one, but I hope i'll be forgiven ;_;...
Sadly, =Chibi-Twich rarely lets any information about her story leak through, so i wasnt able to do any story based art, so i had to improvise a little.
The title actually only refers to Airo, who is described as Emelins Pet, Friend and yet also as her guardian :) At least if i didn't missread anything.

On the artistic side, I had lots of fun drawing this one, not only the sketch, but also the drawing itself, and i just went crazy when i added all kinds of overlay texture shyte on it because i just loved all the weird colors that came out and I could barely decide wich one to take. In the end i had to decide on one and I hope everyone's happy with the end result :)

A friend and a guardian by ~andany
"The tone of the picture is enticing, and the characters have such a great energy together. =andany's execution in this picture is impeccable!" ( Suggested by popstck and Featured by NalaFontaine )
Instead of the traditional black line, the artist decided to use an orange line, which makes them glow like fire. The girl seems to be happy wrapped by what I would have to call her protector.

The two hand seem to be a little disproportionate to each other, but it isn't something that is noticeable unless someone is actually trying to nitpick the piece.
I like how the artist spent the extra time to make the details on the cloths, and in the feathers.

The eyes on the girl really pop, and it seems as though the shine should be a bit orange rather than white, compared to the rest of the drawing, However, the way it pops really draws your attention to her joy.

Overall, this piece has a great impact, and beautiful technique.

Reminds me of some fantasy from the 80's. Gives off that tone. The Dark Crystal's tone, for example.

A stunning piece I love the use of the orange lines to give the look if a firelit scene. Also the posing of the creature suggest both guardian and friend ^-^

Very much worthy of a DD. I really like the way this is colored, and while the characters aren't yours, you give them kick. (yah, I am the worst commentor ever. Still, great picture!)

Aww you're not a bad commentor. Thank you very much for taking your time and writing me a longer comment (i like them much more than those 1-3 word ones) :) Which definately makes you a great commentor :)
