I was asked quite a few times if I could give some hints on how I do my celshading (CEL! shading. Not cell. Its CEL!. One L). So i decided to do a little walkthrough on how i did Evaedeni, since she was easiest to do a walkthrough to.
I'm not sure wether I actually achived to give a decent explaination, since I lack ability to explain, not only in german but also in english Also, somehow when I reread it now, it sounds a bit like i was in a rush, heh. So if there's any questions, dont hesitate to ask I'll do my best to explain better then.
Sorry for all the spelling errors. If you find any you may keep them, i'm too lazy to corret them all DX...
Nevertheless, i wont give a Walkthrough of how I color background or non celshaded work for now, since im a lazy ass... Hope this somehow helps some of you out there
A walkthrough! That's so cool! I think you explained things very well there and I finally understand what's with those masks. It makes me want to try out the masks too! Will you ever make more walkthroughs like this one? For traditional art or something?
Well, i was planning to do one for the DD I got (thanks to your help ), thus i made photos during the start of the proces, sadly, when I layed down work for that piece for half a year, i forgot that i had taken photos and continue to make photos when I continued working on it, so i only have half of the piece as photos XD. Besides that, I dont have much space to do any traditional stuff at the moment due to the moving ive been doing a while back, I havent had the chance to get a propper workspace, so i will only be able to do digital art at the moment. But If i ever get to do some large traditional work again, i might actually do a walkthrough with that And to the mask thing: masks are so god damn helpfull, and there's so many ways of aplying them, its amazing XD.
